Tomina Dee McWhorter was born June 24, 1945 in Elk City, Oklahoma to James Ruble and Dorsie May Hall. She passed away on December 11, 2020 in the Bell Avenue Nursing Center in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 17 days.
Tomina grew up and started school in Carter, Oklahoma until her family moved to Elk City while she was in the second grade in 1952. She graduated from Elk City High School in 1964. She also attended nurses training and became a certified nurse's aide.
She married Carrin Lavor McWhorter on June 27, 1970 and they made their home in Elk City where they had one son, Carrin "Lavor" McWhorter, Jr in April of 1971.
During her life she had been a wife, homemaker, mother, nurse's aide, restaurant cook, and an in-home care giver. Everyone that ever met her said that she had the biggest and warmest heart of anyone they ever met. Also, that she would always try to help anyone out to the best of her ability.
She is preceded in death by her husband, "Carrin" Lavor McWhorter, Sr., father, James Ruble Hall, mother and stepfather, Dorsie Maye and Robert Hansen, sister, Sheryl Kay Hall, niece, Lorie Maye Hall Roles, 2 sister in laws, Carolyn Fowler Hall and Linda Joyce Hall, father and mother in law, Chevis and Warrena McWhorter.
Tomina is survived by her son, Carrin "Lavor" McWhorter, Jr of Elk City, Oklahoma, daughter in law, Kristina Synder McWhorter, Elk City, Oklahoma, 2 brothers, Waymond Hall, Elk City, Oklahoma and Gregory Hansen and wife, Carolyn, Sayre, Oklahoma, brother in law, Royce McWhorter and wife, Cindy, Elk City, Oklahoma, sister in law, Judy Parsons, Hawthorne, Nevada, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
