The world lost a beloved wife, mother and grandmother Sandra Penelope “Penny” Lawrence-Gregg on November 20, 2020. She was born in Cincinnati, OH on February 14, 1956. She found her way to Oklahoma where she spent most of her life in 1985. Penny was world-renowned for not holding back her opinion and a knack for telling it like it is. She always told you the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. Telling it like it is, that was her even if she’s telling you from a porcelain throne. Moving to Oklahoma in ‘85 but being born in Ohio her favorite saying was “Yankee born, southern raised.”
Maybe it was the yankee maybe it was the southern but either way she sure could cook her way into hearts with her biscuits and gravy. Her extensive vocabulary in sarcasm was more than highly proficient at knowing more curse words than most people learned in a lifetime. She liked four letter words as much as she loved her dogs and trust us, they were her “kids”. We know she’s awaiting them at the end of the rainbow bridge. Penny had such a large impact on people’s lives, she will always be in our hearts and minds.
She is survived by her husband Tom and children, Misty, Shane and Laramie along with her eight grand children and eleven great grandchildren.
Per her wishes her ashes will be spread across Elk City lake on Friday, November 27th at 4:00 pm.
