Patsy Ruth Varnell

Obituary

Patsy Ruth was born December 30, 1928, in Oklahoma City, OK.  She married George Walter Varnell April 6, 1946, in Sayre, OK.  George passed in September of 1971.  She remained in Sayre and lived all of her remaining life.  She worked as a cook, a contract painter, which she painted the courthouse at Sayre at one time.  Her painting took her all over the state of Oklahoma.  She loved Christian music as well.  She was known for her warm smile and her kind and compassionate spirit. 

Patsy is survived by 1 brother:  J.W. Fish and wife Shirley of El Reno, OK; 1 sister:  Roxie Broyles and husband Stanley of Amarillo, TX; and longtime friend, companion and care giver:  Lesa Sims of Sayre, OK; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, good friends and neighbors.

She is preceded in death by her parents:  Mr. and Mrs. Perry Fish, 2 sisters:  Lauwiona Ford, Virginia Reed and 1 brother: Stanley Fish of Sayre, OK.
