Margie Lois Swart

Obituary

Margie Lois Swart was born December 22, 1930, in Wyandotte, OK, to Lora D. and John B. McDow.  She passed away May 9, 2022, at her home in Sayre, OK.  She was 91 years of age.  Margie and Frank (her husband), moved into the house in 1956, and from that day forward Margie made that house a home. 

Her early years were consumed by raising her children and taking care of her husband and home, loving cooking, cleaning, feeding us all and always teaching, respect, fidelity, loyalty and value of education.   When the children all were grown, she enjoyed travelling with Frank.  She loved caring for her family and traveling through vacations and adventures. 

When Frank passed in 1993, Margie continued on strong working at the radiator shop putting together large puzzles, (more than 100 of them), visiting with friends and loving time with her grandchildren and great grand babies.  Her support and devotion  to Cookie were second to none.

Margie is preceded in death by her husband:  Frank Swart, her 3 brothers:  Stanley, Buford and Delma McDow.

Margie is survived by her 3 children:  Roger Swart, Harold Swart and Lagailda Barnes, grand children:  Shelley Swart, Austin, Angela and Erin Swart, Amanda and Travis Barnes, George McKinnis, Bobby McKinnis, Cherie Hillary and Lori Beaty, 20 great grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
