Johnnie Faye Glaesman was born on April 4, 1931 in Elk City, Oklahoma to John and Velma (Cooper) Campbell. She passed away on July 25, 2021 at Del City, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years, 3 months and 21 days.
Johnnie grew up in Leedey, Oklahoma and graduated from Leedey High School. She attended college at Oklahoma City University where she majored in music. Johnnie married Edward Glaesman in November of 1951 and they made their home in Leedey. Johnnie was an accomplished musician on the accordion, organ and piano. She used her God given talent to minister to others at the Leedey United Methodist Church for close to 50 years. She later moved to Elk City in 1999 where she attended church and was the organist for several years at Fairview Baptist Church. She did mission work from 1974 through 2003 where she ministered in the lower 48 states, Belize, Australia and Central America.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and her parents, John and Velma Campbell.
She is survived by a son, Lyndon Glaesman and wife, Penny of Crystal Beach, Texas and a daughter, Diane Scholl of Oklahoma City, OK, 5 grandchildren; Trista Wilson and husband, James, Scott Green and wife, Amanda, Eric Scholl, Stephen Glaesman and wife, Rebecca, Jesse Glaesman and wife, Adrianne, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
