Betty Ruth Parker was born October 22, 1947, and passed away June 17th, 2022, unexpectedly in Oklahoma City at the age of 74 years.
Betty entered the workforce after being widowed at a young age. She worked many jobs while raising her four children. Her favorite job and past time was making quilts for people. She played the role of mother and father in a time when that wasn’t common. Despite these struggles, she always provided for her children and grandchildren.
Betty never remarried after the death of her husband Joe, who preceded her by 42 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents Henry & Mattie Dudley and infant sister Janie.
She is survived by sisters: Margene Taylor, Virginia Dudley; brother: Dave Dudley; son: Joe and wife Gayla; daughters: Margie Parker, Tena and husband Nathan Lieswald, Kridea and husband Mike Murley; granddaughters: Kaeli and Amber; grandsons: Dakota, Kelby, Bradley, Timmy, Cooper and Chase; and 7 great grandkids.
Memorial Service for Betty will be held on July 9th, 2022, at the Texola Baptist Church at 10:00 AM with Pastor Charlie Floyd officiating. A private burial will following the service.
