Life Legacy
Daphne Rose Sherron was born February 13, 1934 in Kings Lynn, England to Eva and Ernest Brown. After fighting many long battles of health problems, she passed away at the Clinton Hospital early Sunday morning, with her loving husband, Frank, by her side.
Daphne married Sgt. James L. Vanderford on May 12, 1951. To this union 6 children were born: Jim Vanderford and wife, Ada, Denise Willis and husband, Tony, Phyllis Williams and husband, Clyde, all of Burns Flat, OK, Paulette Malinowski and husband, Pete, Elk City, OK, Angela Lamb and husband, Darryl, Tampa, FL, Anthony Vanderford and wife, Heather, Houston, TX. On May 8, 1970 Daphne married Frank Sherron, who has been her loving companion and friend for 40 years. They resided in Tampa, FL and Burns Flat, OK throughout their years together. Daphne and Frank shared a love for traveling, baseball and bowling.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Burns Flat, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Ted Sherron, a granddaughter, Brandie Dobyns, a brother, Arthur Brown, and a sister, Betty Maples.
Daphne is survived by all her children and special daughters Kellie Roberts, Tampa, FL, and Tracy Sherron, Tampa, FL; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, a brother, Dennis Brown and wife, Pam of Woodward, OK, 2 sisters: Lea Metz and husband, Chuck, of Davisville, WV, Beryl Kaminer and husband, Howard, of Jacksonville, FL; a sister-in-law, Eve Brown of Kings Lynn, England and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.
