Mary Ann Spencer was born November 20, 1939 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Helen Gay and Thomas Allan Bannister. She passed away February 4, 2010 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 14 days.
Mary Ann grew up in Odessa, Texas where she graduated from high school. She later moved to Ft. Worth, Texas where she worked as a beautician for 40 years. She was married to Jerry Spencer at Hood, Texas on October 4, 2002 and they made their home in Pontotoc, Mississippi. Mary Ann learned to drive a truck and she and Jerry traveled the country as a team for 7 years. Mary Ann enjoyed working in the yard and camping but most of all loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and a sister-in-law, Cathy Bannister.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry, of the home; 1 son, David Hunter, Ft. Worth, TX; 4 stepchildren, Gaye McGloflin, Pontotoc, MS, Terrie Tutor, Pontotoc, MS, Phillip Spencer, Pontotoc, MS, Donny Spencer, Pontotoc, MS; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; her mother, Helen Bannister, Sayre, OK; 2 brothers, Bobby Bannister, Ft. Worth, TX, Lanny Joe Bannister, Ft. Worth, TX; special friends, Sandra Kaye and Tony Tutor, Pontotoc, MS, Mickey Dire, Ft. Worth, TX; 1 niece, Erin Smith, Ft. Worth, TX; 1 nephew, Bart Guiterras, Ft. Worth, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.
